For my application (5/4 light block), having mounting ears to screw to the outside of the block would work really well and can't seem to find those in 4".Since they're a standard 4" round junction box, the new Ring floodlights significantly overhang the junction box - and since they're soffit mounted, that just means the foam will be directly exposed to water when it rains (and the water will just sit on top of the foam).
